On project Songdo, South Korea, Boskalis is working with several Korean employees in the site office as well as Korean subcontractors on water and on land. Bearing in mind the existing challenges with regards to communication and culture differences, lots of efforts are being deployed in spreading, training, coaching and maintaining our NINA standards on the project for all nationalities.

We can be proud of our Lelydorp I project team achieving the remarkable amount of 2.000.000 man hours worked without an LTI!
In July 2014 the project team reached this milestone and all project members were congratulated for their contribution and hard work establishing this milestone.

With training of people and a constant focus on safety and communication, the project organization of the Porto do Açu T2 project managed to keep the number of incidents with Lost Time Injury (LTI) at zero. In January 2014 2.000.000 manhours without LTI were reached.

In 2014 we continue to promote the No Incidents No Accidents safety culture by the NINA Rewards & Recognition Program originally developed and implemented on the Gorgon project was introduced on the Ichthys LNG Onshore and GEP Projects in Darwin, January 2013.
