When I recently arrived at my office at 7:30 in the morning, I looked outside and saw people working on the roof of the bicycle shed. At first glance, it seemed they had properly considered their safety. However, I did notice that they had secured themselves with a rope so long, they would still hit the ground –in spite of the fall protection system– if they fell. I went outside and pointed this out to the men. Their response was positive. Of course, they had not realized the risk they were running, but this will certainly not happen to them again.
