Suriname: 2 million man hours without a Lost time injury!

We can be proud of our Lelydorp I project team achieving the remarkable amount of 2.000.000 man hours worked without an LTI!
In July 2014 the project team reached this milestone and all project members were congratulated for their contribution and hard work establishing this milestone.

The Lelydorp I project is the proof, that with living and breathing Nina on the project, a safe working environment can be created and maintained.

Our Client Suralco has recognized this remarkable milestone, and has awarded the project a “Certificate for Achievement”
Business Unit Manager Area West - Jaap Scheele visited the site to receive this certificate out of the hands of the Suralco Head of the HSE department.

But the project is not over yet, and the project team will need to keep a clear focus on maintaining this safety record. By means of (simulator)training, a pro-active approach (“think before you act”), teamwork and dedication from all project members (“safety comes first”), the project team strives to maintain the non-LTI target for the remainder of the project.
