Boskalis Hirdes NINA Award 2015

On February 11, 2016 during the company workshops the “Hirdes NINA-Award 2015" was awarded to employees who have been involved in occupational safety, health and environmental protection.

In the period from 01.01. until 31.12.2015 we received a total of 37 suggestions for improvements.

The suggestions for improvement were evaluated by the following criteria:

➢ reduce health risks at work
➢ improve personal working conditions
➢ an economic benefit
➢ can the solution be used in different fields of work
➢ originality
➢ is the submitter a good example in occupational safety for colleagues?
➢ improvement or innovation

The winners were:

Mr Andreas Peper (master fitter)
Mr Waldemar Diekmann (crane operator)
Mr Alfred Bollen (crane operator)

This group suggested:

"By attaching a camera to the boom of the excavator, the crane operator has a better overview of the cargo hold, no blind spot and an assistant is no longer necessary."

Mr. Diekmann donated his financial prize of 500 Euros to a charity in his home town.

Also for 2016, the Boskalis Hirdes NINA award is advertised again. We would like to invite you to participate in it, so we can constantly improve our safe working conditions. This ensures that your enormous potential of experience and ideas can be invested in our company.
